David Smouha Studio
Located at Mermaid Beach on the Gold Coast, David Smouha Studio is a working studio and boutique exhibition space presenting new work by David Smouha alongside a curated program of emerging artists. The studio also houses a permanent stockroom of available works.

David Smouha
David Smouha is a Gold Coast–based digital artist whose practice merges photography, digital painting, and chromatic manipulation to produce large-scale works printed on aluminium, canvas and paper. Drawing on the spectacle, luminosity, and artificiality of the Gold Coast, his work operates through Pop and Camp sensibilities — vivid, layered, and critically aware of its own visual excess.
Originally trained in fashion and interior design, Smouha has exhibited at 19 Karen Contemporary Artspace, and the Royal Queensland Art Society, and was a 2024 Border Art Prize finalist. His work is held in private collections in Australia, Japan, the United States, and France.
His new series, Gods and Monsters, will launch to coincide with the Gold Coast’s BLEACH Festival 1 - 11 October, 2026.
